Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser	Saturday January 11th, 2014
The YVFD is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser to support the men and women of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department. The dinner will be held on January 26^th from 5pm to 8pm at the Yorkshire Restaurant, 7537 Centerville Rd. Manassas, VA. Cost is $10 for Adults and $5 for Children 12 and under, the Dinner will include; Spaghetti, Salad, Garlic Bread and Drink. All proceeds will go to supporting the Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Station. Come meet the people that serve your community and help support the fine work they do.	Image of

A big thank you to Yorkshire Restaurant and the employees for hosting our spaghetti dinner fundraiser. To all of you that came out and enjoyed the food, thank you for coming and showing your support. We raised a good amount of much needed money for our growing department. We are hoping to make this happen a few times a year. Now that we know what to expect, next time will be even better!

A True Hero	Thursday January 30th, 2014
On 1/29/2014 young Tyler Doohan was laid to rest after saving 6 family members from a fire in their single wide trailer. After waking up family members and assisting them outside to safety, Tyler then went back inside in attempts to retrieve his disabled grandfather who could not get out on his own. Unfortunately this young hero succumbed to the heat and smoke. In honor of Tyler Doohan, the members of the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire department made a par tag for Tyler to ride in spirit. Let his courage be with us at all times. Tyler would have made an amazing fireman. Rest in Peace young brother, you are a true hero. A True Hero

Thursday January 30th, 2014

On 1/29/2014 young Tyler Doohan was laid to rest after saving 6 family members from a fire in their single wide trailer. After waking up family members and assisting them outside to safety, Tyler then went back inside in attempts to retrieve his disabled grandfather who could not get out on his own.
