E508 Runs House Fire in Company 516's DueSaturday December 18th, 2010

Tuesday's crew started their Saturday duty with a house fire in company 516's first due.  E508 arrived as the 4th pumper and pulled a hose line to side C.  The fire was on the second floor with extension into the attic.  After determining E508's line would not be needed, command requested that E508 perform a primary search of the basement and first floor.  The search was negative and E508 exited onto Side C.  E508's officer setup Division C, per command's request.  After a few minutes, Division C was terminated by command. E508 was sent to the second floor to assist with pulling drywall and hitting hotspots.  Once the crew's air supply was low, they exited the structure and reported to rehab.  After being released by rehab, E508's crew returned to the primary fire room to assist the fire marshal with sorting through debris.

Battalion Chief 501X, YVFD's Chief Deem, had command.
